The Pantry
In February 2024 we partnered up with St Giles, Southern Housing and Hyde and opened a food Pantry on our premises in Islington.
What does the Pantry offer?
The Food Hub (Pantry) run by St Giles www.stgilestrust.org.uk makes nutritious groceries affordable to residents facing food insecurity. Additionally, The Food Hub provides signposting and guidance to tackle the underlying causes of poverty. The Pantry offers personal face-to-face support along with high quality, nutritious and healthy food to those struggling to feed themselves and their families - those held back by poverty, addiction and mental health issues. St Giles knowledgeable and experience staff provide impartial information and advice.
“The Pantry is easy and straight-forward. There is no time limit for choosing what you want, so you can take your time and browse. The staff are friendly, helpful, organised and knowledgeable.”
People using the Pantry pay a weekly subscription of £3.50 for £35 worth of food, and in return are able to access an abundance of affordable, nutritious food.
This in conjunction with the advice and guidance offered by St Giles to help them move towards independence.

“The first thing that hits you when you enter the Pantry is just how much and how varied the food is: meat, sea- food, all kinds of fruit and vegetables, milk, juice, different kinds of bread and ‘good for you’ crisps. The second thing that hits you is just how healthy it all is: no processed produce here!”
